USAC is one of the largest and most ambitious student climbing clubs in the Netherlands. How can you tell? The many beautiful climbing weekends, trips and expeditions that are organized there every year. But how do members find out about this from each other?
In addition to meeting each other in the hall, at drinks and during climbing adventures, the USAC has a beautiful association magazine to keep up to date with the riding and sailing of all members. The USAC: the Rock-In’. This magazine has been published once a year in recent years, although the ambition is to have multiple circulations. The Rock-In is always packed with stories, news, facts and announcements that no USACer can miss. The Rock-In is for and by USACers and is put together by the Rock-in’ committee. Each time they meet while enjoying a bite to eat to discuss the contents of the new RI, during which tasks are divided. Everyone then collects the pieces and lays them out in InDesign. A pleasant afternoon of flopping and stickering makes the RI a gem that falls on the doorstep of every USAC member. The enthusiasm of the committee and the many different authors make every Rock-In unique.
Not yet realized, but the ambitious plan for the near future is: the RIO, or the Rock In Online. So that it becomes even easier to follow USAC members on the other side of the world on their special adventures.
